2025 Kia Carens EV launch Date in India: South Korean carmaker Kia Motors is preparing to launch its new generation Kia Carens Electric in the Indian market. It is expected that Kia Carens Electric will be launched in the Indian market by around 2025.
Kia Motors President and CEO Ho Sung Song has given information about launching two new models along with Kia Carens EV while announcing its Investor Day 2024. Kia President and CEO said that Kia Motors is going to launch its flagship ev9 in India to further improve its electric play in the Indian market.
Apart from this, he said, “The EV lineup strategy includes following our flagship electric models with the launch of models on a large scale to increase consumer reach.” 2025 kia Carens EV in India
According to big media reports, the code name of Kia Carens is going to be AY-EV. Which is being prepared to launch in the second half of 2025. However, it is known as Kia Calvis abroad. It is going to be offered in both various Real Hand Drive (RHD) and Left Hand Drive (LHD) versions.
2025 kia Carens EV Design
The design of the upcoming Kia Current Electric is going to be quite different from the current model. It is going to be offered with a more attractive as well as aerodynamic and futuristic design language, in which the front is going to get a revised bumper and LED headlights with a new connected LED tail light unit with a closed grille.
In the same side profile, we will also be given new aerodynamic diamond cut alloy wheels. At the rear too, we are going to see a revised bumper with a new connected LED tail light unit and many special changes.
According to some media reports, the design of the upcoming Kia Current Electric is going to be very futuristic, whose road presence is going to be very attractive in the Indian market. Its design is expected to be inspired by the Kia EV9 to a great extent.
Interior And Features list
On the inside, the cabin is also going to get a new design with many special changes. In which the dashboard layout with a new central console and a rotary dial gear knob in place of the gear lever is going to be available. On the inside, we can also be offered more premium leather seats with soft-touch facilities at many places and 7 seater layout along with 6 seater.
At the same time, in the features, it is going to get the facility of a large connected touch screen infotainment system with digital instrument cluster and Apple CarPlay connectivity with wireless Android Auto.

In terms of safety features, this car is going to be powered with level two advanced ADAS technology, which includes departure warning, return to line, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitoring system, automatic emergency braking, driver attention warning, and traffic alert. Apart from this, it is going to get multiple airbags, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system, hill hail assist, hill descent control, traction control, 360-degree camera and ISOFIX child seat anchor.
Battery and Range
No official information has been revealed by the company about the battery option of Kia Cranes. According to big media reports, the upcoming Kia Caran Electric is going to have a range of 500 to 600 km. Along with this, it will be launched with two battery options especially for the Indian market. In the charging option, it is going to get fast charging, domestic charging option and DC charging option.
Price in India
The price of the upcoming Kia Caran Electric is expected to be around Rs 22 lakh to Rs 26 lakh in the Indian market. However, this price may be less or more at the time of launch. Currently, the price of Kia Caran in the Indian market is Rs 12.29 lakh on road Lucknow.
Rivals
After being launched in the Indian market, Kia Caran Electric is going to compete with Upcoming Hyundai Creta EV, Honda Elevate EV, Mahindra XUV E.8, Maruti EVX and Toyota EV.
