To power the MT15 V2, a 155 cc single cylinder liquid SOHC valve fuel injected engine is used which generates power with VVA system. This engine generates 18.5Bhp at 10000 rpm and 14.01Nm of torque at 7500 rpm. Along with this, this engine option is offered with a six-speed gearbox and is also given a slipper clutch mechanism. The top speed of Yamaha MT 15 v2 is 130 kmph.
