New Thar Roxx – Mahindra is all set for launching its upcoming Thar 5 door in the Indian market. Earlier, Mahindra had announced the name of its new generation Mahindra Thar.
Mahindra Thar Roxx has an alternate design from the normal three-door Thar. Along with this, it is going to be replete with more features and high-tech safety features than the current Thar.

New Thar Roxx Design
Mahindra Thar Roxx is going to be offered with a new design language than the normal three-door Thar. Its road presence is also going to be more. It has a newly designed LED headlight at the front with new C type LED DRL with fog light setup at the bottom and now bumper with silver finish. The three-door Thar has a bumper with black finish.
In the side profile, it is going to be offered with a new dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels which will help in its off-roading as well as give it a premium look on Indian roads.
Along with this, it is going to be offered with a five-seat layout for which it is going to get two new doors at the rear.
At the rear, the Thar Roxx is going to get a new spare wheel cover and modified bumper with inverted C type LED tail light.
New Thar Roxx Cabin and Features
There has been no information released about the Mahindra Thar Roxx cabin. Its dashboard design had earlier been said to resemble that of the three-door Thar, based on earlier spy images. We can’t find a ton of big differences.
Features Mahindra Thar Rocks, which is coming up with an amazing dual 10.25 inch digital instrument cluster and touch screen infotainment system with wireless connecting features including Android Auto and Apple Car Play.
In it, there will also be a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, keyless entry with push button start stop, dual-zone climate control, wireless mobile charging, height adjustable driver seat, premium leather seat, USB type C charging port along with AC control for rear passengers and a great JBL sound system.
New Thar Roxx Safety feature
It is also said that there will be six airbags, electronic stability program, tire pressure monitoring system, 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, and level two ADAS technology for it about safety features. However, no specific statements about these features are publicly made by the company so far.
New Thar Roxx Engine specification
Two engines come with the Mahindra Thar Roxx:
2-litre Turbo-petrol: 162 PS, 330 Nm (MT)/177 PS, 380 Nm (AT)
2.2-litre Diesel: 152 PS, 330 Nm (MT)/ 175 PS, 370 Nm (AT)
Both engine derivatives can be coupled as standard with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Petrol and diesel both have RWD as standard but the diesel also has the option of a 4WD system.
New Thar Roxx Price And Rivals
Pricing for Mahindra Thar Rocks ex-showroom in Indian markets begins at approximately Rs 13 lakh. It competes directly against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Jimny and Force Gurkha 5 Door in the Indian market.
