Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the latest edition of its most popular SUV Toyota Fortuner under the leader edition series in India. The Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition is going to be highly premium compared to the standard variant. The Leader Edition would have several cosmetic changes and is being offered only with rear wheel drive.

You can book the Fortuner Lite through the online website or by visiting your nearest Toyota dealer. Details of prices, though, would be revealed during its launch.
Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition
In the new Leader Edition of Toyota Fortuner, we especially get to see new dual-tone exterior color options, which include Super White, Platinum Pearl and Silver Metallic, which is given with a black roof. Apart from this, this special edition also gets 17-inch blackout alloy wheels with glassy black finish in both front and rear bumpers and a new spoiler.
Note that all these accessories are going to be fitted by the dealership.
Apart from this, a new feature tyre pressure monitor system (TPMS) has been given in the special Leader Edition. Apart from this, no change has been made in its features.
Engine Specifications
The new Toyota Fortuner litre edition will go under the 2.8-liter diesel standard engine model. The configuration will produce 204 bhp and 420 Nm of torque when combined with manual transmission. Conversely, with automatic transmission, torque would increase to 204 bhp and 500 Nm. The Leader Edition is going to be offered exclusively with the Real Wheel Drive version. You are not going to get four-wheel drive technology in it.
Toyota Fortuner Standard Features and Safety
The normal Toyota Fortuner gets MID instrument cluster with 8-inch touch screen infotainment system, wired Android Auto Apple CarPlay connectivity with analog meter. Other features include dual-zone climate control, ventilated seats with height adjustable driver seat at the front, six-speaker sound system, wireless mobile charging and a power automatic tailgate.
On the other hand, in terms of safety features, it has been given 7 airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, reverse parking sensor with camera, ISOFIX child seat mount and hill hail assist.
New Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition Price And Rivals
Expected price of the new Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition would be in the range of Rs 35.93 lakh to Rs 38.38 lakh ex-showroom in the Indo market. But the price will be higher or lower on the launch date. Therefore, the price tag for the Toyota Fortuner Litre Edition could be ₹ 50000 more than the price of normal Fortuner.
